1979

Sh KR Maheshwary established Manav Kalyan Trust

  • The objective of the Trust is to provide K12 education to children.
  • Mr Maheshwary was motivated for the cause at a young age when he was in school. From his room he would regularly see this one child studying at night under the streetlight on the roadside. Mr Maheshwary started providing books and stationery to the child from his pocket money. Thus was born the ambition of giving back to the society.

  • Manav Public School provides education to 1000+ children now. 
  • Affiliated with CBSE.

2004

Manav Kalyan Vidya Mandir Amritsar, a free school for underprivileged children

  • Manav Kalyan Vidya Mandir Amritsar provides free education to underprivileged children from KG to  Class 12.
  • The school has LCD-equipped classrooms, labs and sports facilities.

2007

Started Skills Training for Underprivileged Girls

Computer Skills Education

  • The Trust provides computer skills education to 40 girls from villages who have completed their Class 10.
  • The 6 months course teaches data entry operations and basic computer skills. The course is accredited by NIOS, Government of India.

2017

Established Manav Kalyan Vidya Mandir, Loharka village, a free school for underprivileged children

  • Currently operating from KG – Class 3.
  • Capacity to educate 1000 children when the school expands to Class 12
